We needed to design and build a landing page that encouraged potential delegates to discover the benefits of attending one of the seminars and make it easy for them to purchase tickets. Until now, the process of selling tickets to each seminar had been done offline, with delegates phoning or emailing NHBC to order and then being sent an invoice.
NHBC wanted to be able to streamline the process and allow delegates to book online. This included the use of voucher codes that allowed a 3 for 2 offer and also a discount on certain venues. The process had to be intuitive and easy to use, as well as operate correctly when the vouchers were used, both singly and in combination for multiple delegates across multiple locations.
We also developed the functionality for the events to be set up and managed by the in-house NHBC Shop team, from creating new events to amending ticket availability, to moving delegates to different events.
Xigen have helped us deliver a great online solution that has delivered a 60% saving in time spent by our Events Team in processing ticket sales and payments. Our Finance Team have benefited even more, with the simplified process taking 75% less time to process than the old manual system. By taking immediate online credit card payments for tickets we’ve also massively reduced our financial exposure for late or non-payments. Ticket sales were up nearly 12% this year compared to last. We also now have a solution that we can use next year and beyond for this event and others.
